I was lucky enough to spend the last two days with some very talented artists, various forms of photography were on display, as well as paintings and mixed media artists. Allison Kohn had her paintings on display on Saturday and I was so impressed. We were lucky enough to be able to watch her paint. She has an ability to mix the human form with nature, her tree images are beautiful.

Morgan Ostrander (Meophotography.com) the founder of the Mountain Air Art Fair was very busy coordinating the event, and she did a great job. She told me today that she’d have another and hopes to have more Leadville Artists join us.

The owner of Penny Lane kids had hula-hoops on display that she made herself. She also entertained us with her very talented abilities with the hula-hoop.

I sat next to Jen Junto(artcurrents.com) who is a mixed media artist. She managed to get a group of us interested in continuing to get together. Jen’s artwork is amazing. She has to be one of the most creative artists I have met in a while. Her art included ceramics, jewelry, and several 2D images. I loved her Bookplate Series.

I did manage to meet another artist that wasn’t even part of our art fair. Lori Burt (zanyzak.com)and her husband had brought their dog to the show and he had a beautiful color, the most amazing color I’ve seen on a dog. It was leather with turquoise on it. We all hope she’ll join us on our next art fair.
